Brexit - And why I admire the full immersions

I voted yesterday, I have voted in every election I have been able to.  I strongly believe in a Suffragette spirit, women died, were force fed and imprisoned so that we could take part in the democratic process, I have always been scathing about people but women especially who refuse to vote because they 'don't know nuffin' or that nothing changes so 'what's the point?'  Well the point is you can have major f-ups like what happened yesterday.

I was re-watching 'Time Warp Wives' again a while ago, which as you know I have blogged about before.  I was shocked at one of the wives Joanne (aka Lola Lamour) who had no idea the PM had changed, for me that is/was unthinkable, but after the effect on being vastly disappointed in my country has (yet again) on my mood, I rather admire the full historical immersion types.

Do you think Sarah Chrisman gives a toss about Donald Trump?  No, she just goes along riding her Victorian bicycle and writing her books (I love her she is so cool).

Do you think Lola Lamour is stressed about Brexit?   Probably not, probably just singing her songs.

Full immersion would be hard for me because I really am very political.  But I still can't help but admire it, perhaps if myself and my friend really do get that intentional community off the ground I will get that chance to forget all about Politics and just live my life, healthily and naturally.

Plateau

Dammit I have plateaued.  I had to change my diet, I cut most of the nuts out and have changed things up a bit and the weight loss re-started, but still 4lbs off target this week which means I need to make that up.

Target reached!!

Well I exceeded my fortnightly target by a Pound.  That is awesome.  I think I can allow myself to be treated today by having some popcorn or something...yay!!!!  Starch.

Anyway, I can see the results in my tummy but a LOOOOONG way to go before I reach my target in Mid June. I have no time to relax, I need to keep up the momentum.

Va va voom!!!!!!

The "I brought a corset!!!!!" Review

So almost a week into of Paleo Vegan has gone well, I reached my 7 day target at day 5 already and I am feeling good, not as good as I would under 5000 calories of cake, but I can cope.  I am woman, hear me roar!!!!

So, in my frustration waiting for a decent coupon from WKD, I had a flashback to the old days and remembered the two recommended corsets that my old Corsetoholic friend used to use and looked up Vollers!!!!

OMG....not only do they have specific waist training corsets but they also had a 35%  (yes, that is right...I said 35%) money off coupon.  I got the £150 Majestic corset for under £100...I am thrilled, it is something I am terribly excited about because I want to change my shape and it will be SO helpful for my portion control also.  So, huzzah, it is a start....

Of course I brought it in black....
The Good

1)Wow, the dispatch was super fast,   ordered on Wednesday, delivered on Friday!
2) The corset is beautifully constructed and came presented in a lovely box, I must say if I was given one as a present I would have been impressed at how lovely it looks.
3) Haven't had a chance to tighten the laces yet but was given a lot of lacing so wearing it loose is not a problem at all.
4) Need I remind you of the  35% off?

The less good

1) At  11 inches the corset is much shorter than I am used to, in fact it is the shortest corset I have ever worn.  Though it is fine for now, I prefer a longer shape.
2) Probably due to the above mentioned shortness and the fact that I wore the corset fairly loose, I found when I was wearing it today the corset shifted up and the peak in the middle of the corset busk stuck right up betwix my cleavage!!!
3) I am no Princess by any means but you do actually feel the knot at the bottom of the lacing, I know it is not pretty but I would have preferred a knot on the outside of the corset not the side of the body.

So I have worn it out two days in a row to help season it, but won't start lacing it tighter until I have increased my wearing time.. Will update you!!

New Year, New Me...

Well last year was a bit of a bust, especially after re-introducing dairy. Both myself and my LO skin just fell right off..been feeling rotten through all the over indulgence and just decided to ban dairy and soya again.

So, as of today let's get this straight, I am Vegetarian, dairy free, soya free, gluten free and yes....SUGAR free....am I crazy?  Well that begs to be seen but I have only six months before this bloomin Fairy Festival and the countdown begins now.

In other news, I skipped the vinegar wash last week (too busy) and now my hair looks pretty fab.  Wondering whether once a week is simply too much for my hair and maybe I should change to once a fortnight?    Hair fabulousness wins over fears of smelly hair...

Skin on face is fine, will do another acid treatment in a few months.

Everything else is fine, just going to relax into my primal-ish diet and update in a couple of weeks to tell you how it has gone.
